DIY Party Food: How to Make Turkey Cookies

These turkey cookies are a fun and easy DIY party food. Start by melting chocolate chips to attach a Reese's cup and Whopper to an Oreo base. Add candy corn feathers and an orange candy corn beak to complete the festive look.

Ingredients

mini reeses peanut butter cups

oreos…double stuff are the best

whoppers

candy corn (5 or 6 per turkey)

orange icing (i used candy melts so they would harden faster)

chocolate chips (i melted these down in the microwave and used them to fuse the PB cup and the whopper onto the oreos and the piece of candy corn onto the face so they would harden and stay put…i thought it might work better than icing)

white icing

Directions

Warm the chocolate chips in the microwave until melted.

Use this melted chocolate as glue to adhere a mini Reese's peanut butter cup and a Whopper onto an Oreo cookie.

Place 5 to 6 candy corn pieces around the back edge of the Oreo to form tail feathers.

Using orange icing or melted orange candy melts, stick a candy corn piece onto the Whopper to create the turkey's beak.
