From the original
This FAQ from BHVR addresses the retirement of Dead by Daylight's Halloween Chapter. The Shape and Laurie Strode, along with their cosmetics, will be removed from all platform stores at 11am ET on 19 January 2026 and will no longer be unlockable in-game. Players who unlock the characters before that deadline keep full access: they remain playable, can still be levelled with Bloodpoints and Prestiged (three Prestige cosmetics and three Perk charms included), and their perks stay in their bloodwebs under the original names and flavour text. Players who do not unlock them will instead find the perks in the General perk pool under new names, available on any character. After the deadline the Haddonfield map leaves the rotation and new outfits stop being made available. Achievements become generic but auto-complete for those who already earned them, and progress carries over. The characters will still receive bug fixes and content remains streamable without restriction. No refunds are issued because unlocked characters stay fully playable, and cross-progression preserves unlocked content. A last-chance sale runs from 18 December to 18 January with roughly 50% off the DLC across platforms.
