Directions
- Download the 20-page PDF file containing instructions, supply list, printables, and setup guide.
- Gather supplies including cotton swabs, printer paper, a bike lock (or combination lock), black and orange balloons, and items for a giant spider DIY (cardboard, black paint).
- Set up the 'escape the house' scenario by locking the front door with the bike lock.
- Create the narrative theme: a witch living in the attic has locked the family in and stolen Halloween candy.
- Place the starting clue, a letter from 'Hutch Winter' (anagram of Witch Hunter), in an envelope on the kitchen table with treats.
- Set up challenges in the living room, hallway, and kitchen, such as climbing through a giant spider web to find clues.
- Include cooperative tasks, such as avoiding witch hats on the floor to steal the evil witch's broom.
- Allow participants to solve clues and unlock the front door to retrieve their stolen Halloween candy.
