Glittered Halloween Party Favor Bags

Directions

1. Collect your supplies and either draw your own Halloween designs on plain printer paper or find spooky patterns from old magazines or online sources. Cut around the shape with scissors to make your template.
2. Position the template on a muslin favor bag. Use a pen or pencil to trace the outline onto the fabric. For a cleaner transfer, you can place transfer paper between the template and bag, then trace over the design.
3. Pick a paint color—black, purple, or green—and use a fairly stiff brush to apply paint inside the traced lines.
4. Keep painting until the entire traced design is completely filled in with an even coat of paint.
5. While the paint is still wet, sprinkle glitter in a matching color over the painted area. Let the bag sit still for a few minutes so the paint and glitter can set.
6. Once the paint is dry, shake off the excess glitter. Then fill the bag with Halloween candies and small toys or trinkets.
