These Halloween crinkle cookies are soft, chewy, and decorated with colorful monster eyes. Made from a vanilla cake mix with orange, purple, and black food coloring, they're easy to prepare and perfect for parties.

- Set your oven to heat up to 350°F.
- In a mixer bowl, combine the cake mix, your chosen food coloring gels, vegetable oil, and eggs until well blended.
- Place the dough in the refrigerator to chill for 15 minutes.
- Scoop out a tablespoon-sized portion of dough, form it into a ball, then roll it in icing sugar until fully coated.
- Put the coated dough balls into the freezer and leave them for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Arrange the frozen dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and gently press a monster eye candy into the center of each one.
- Return the baking sheet with the cookies to the fridge and chill for an additional 15 minutes.
- Bake the cookies for 6 to 8 minutes.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet briefly, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
