Ingredients
Directions
- Heat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
- Combine the first set of cake ingredients until smooth. The mixture will be thick; use a rubber spatula to spread it evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 30 minutes, then poke holes all over the top using the handle of a wooden spoon.
- Whisk together one box of pudding mix with 2 cups milk for 2 minutes, then let it sit until it starts to thicken.
- Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the top of the cooled cake.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer with the whisk attachment, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and ⅓ cup pudding mix. Whisk until thick and fluffy.
- Spread the frosting over the top of the pudding layer.
- Pulse the Oreos in a food processor until they become fine crumbs. Sprinkle the crumbs over the frosting.
- Use black gel icing to write "R.I.P." on the Milano cookies to create tombstones. Press them into the frosting so they stand upright.
- Press the Ghost Peeps into the frosting so they stand up. If needed, use toothpicks to help them stay in place.
- Arrange the candy pumpkins near the ghosts and tombstones.
- Add sprinkles if you like.
