About this
A TODAY Halloween hub page collecting the site's Halloween coverage in one place: celebrity and TODAY-anchor costume reveals, a spooky snack recipe or two, themed riddles, seasonal food deals, plus candy recalls, candy fortune-telling and advice on handling Halloween fear with kids. It functions as a browsable index of Halloween stories, recipes and news rather than a single hosted party plan, so its concrete ideas are the linked snacks and food offers it surfaces.
The plan
- Plan a Halloween snack menu around quick, few-ingredient themed bites like spider-shaped hot dogs and jalapeño popper mummies
- Halloween 2025 — Check Halloween food deals (64 offers listed for 2025) for limited-time freebies and discounts on the holiday
- days before Halloween — Review candy recall news before handing out or eating packaged candy
- Decide how to handle scary imagery if young kids are attending, and prepare a plan to calm them
Food & drink
- Hot Dog Spiders: turn hot dogs into 'spider' bites as a creepy Halloween snack (cook time 35 mins, prep time 20 mins, yields 20 bites, only three ingredients)
- Jalapeño Popper Mummies: a classic appetizer of melted cheese and bacon wrapped to look like mummies, described as the ultimate crowd-pleaser for a Halloween celebration (cook time 30 mins, prep time 20 mins, yields 18 jalapeño poppers)
- Take advantage of 64 Halloween food deals from restaurants and brands on the spookiest day of the year, including Chipotle's Boorito deal
Activities
- Work through 77 spooky Halloween riddles as a brainteaser game for kids, adults and the whole family
- Try Halloween candy fortune-telling, using candy as a divination tool that food fortune teller Jennifer Billock calls 'transformational'
- Relive TODAY's Halloween Extravaganza 2025 with costume reveals from the Plaza and spooky surprises
