These step-by-step instructions will guide you to fold a bat from a square of black paper. With just a few folds and a small cut, you'll have a spooky decoration ready for Halloween.
You'll need
Directions
- Begin by folding your square piece of black paper along the diagonal, creating a triangle shape.
- Next, fold that triangle in half once more to get a smaller triangle, then open it back up.
- With the paper still oriented as a triangle, take the top layer of the left and right corners and bring them both to the center crease line.
- Turn the paper over and fold the top point downward so it meets the bottom edge.
- Create the bat's ears by folding the bottom edge upward just a tiny bit.
- Flip the paper again, then fold the left and right sides inward to form the wings.
- Finally, use scissors to snip a small opening on the folded edge; this can serve as feet or a hanging loop.
