Ingredients
Directions
- Set your oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl, then set this mixture aside.
- Using a separate bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the vanilla extract, one egg, and 2-3 drops of purple gel food coloring, beating thoroughly to blend.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet, mixing until everything is fully combined. If the dough becomes too stiff for the mixer, use a spoon to work in the remaining flour.
- Take heaping tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll them into balls, and then roll each ball in Halloween sprinkles, ensuring the bottom remains uncovered by sprinkles.
- Arrange the coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, gently flatten each with the bottom of a cup, and then press candy eyes into the tops.
- Place the cookies in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bottoms just start to brown.
- After baking, let the cookies rest on the sheet for five minutes, then move them to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
