These monster cookies start with a cream cheese and butter dough, tinted orange and loaded with chocolate chips, Oreo minis, and Chips Ahoy. After a quick chill, shape into balls, coat with sprinkles, bake, and top with candy eyes for a festive Halloween treat.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, beat together the butter, cream cheese, egg, and vanilla on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the cake mix and beat well, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  4. Add orange gel food coloring and mix thoroughly, scraping the bowl to prevent streaks. Start with about 1 tsp and add more until the color is bright orange.
  5. Mix in the mini chocolate chips and white chocolate chips.
  6. Roughly chop the Oreo minis and mini Chips Ahoy, then fold them into the batter by hand until evenly distributed.
  7. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or large spoon, shape the dough into balls and roll each ball in Halloween candy sprinkles.
  9. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving 1½ to 2 inches of space between each.
  10. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.
  11. Remove from the oven and immediately press candy eye sprinkles onto the tops of the warm cookies.
  12. Serve and enjoy!
