Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
- Stir in flour, cocoa, and salt until just combined.
- Line a large brownie pan with foil or parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
- Bake the brownies for at least 25 minutes.
- While the brownies bake, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted. Let cool to room temperature.
- In a medium bowl, beat the cold butter until pale and fluffy. If it looks too yellow, add a tiny drop of purple food coloring.
- Add the cooled melted white chocolate, cold cream cheese, and vanilla bean paste to the butter. Mix until well combined.
- Check the brownies at 25 minutes; continue baking up to 35 minutes or until the outer 3 inches are set.
- Let the brownies cool completely. Meanwhile, spoon the frosting into a piping bag fitted with a tip #47 or #48 (or any tip from #44 to #48) for mummy bandages.
- Once cool, cut the brownies into 12 to 24 rectangles and transfer them to a platter or tray.
- Pipe the frosting over the brownies in a zigzag motion to create mummy wrapping.
- Add candy eyes to the brownies for the mummy face.
- Serve the brownies on a Halloween platter or package them individually in resealable cellophane bags.
