Directions
- Peel off any labels from the mailing tubes, take off the caps, and put them aside. Mark the midpoint of each tube (12.5 inches) with a pencil. Using a mitre box and handsaw, cut each tube in half at the mark. Smooth the cut edges with fine- to medium-grit sandpaper.
- Arrange the tubes into seven rows: four rows with five tubes each and three rows with four tubes each. For each row, lay the tubes side by side on a flat surface, apply a line of white school glue along the adjoining sides, and clamp the tubes together at the front and back using clothespins. Allow the glue to dry completely.
- Once the rows are dry, stack them in alternating order: a row of five, then four, then five, then four, then five, then four, then five. Apply glue along the side of each tube where rows meet, clamp the stack with clothespins at the front and back, and let the glue dry thoroughly.
- Print the snake eyes template onto six sheets of label paper. Use scissors or a circle cutter to cut out the eyeballs. Peel off the backing and attach one eyeball to the flat back of each tube cap. Fill each pair of water bottles with Halloween-themed prizes such as candy corn or plastic spiders. Center the decorated caps on the bottles, with the eyes facing outward, and glue them in place.
