About this
A Hocus Pocus-themed Halloween party guide from Bonjour Fête, tied to the Sanderson Sisters' return in the Hocus Pocus sequel. It walks through the balloon installation, the witchy tablescape, place settings, and favors used in their styled set-up. Each element is described so readers can recreate the exact look or mix and match with the shop's curated Hocus Pocus Party Kit.
Tips
- The trick to a balloon installation that pops lies in the details: incorporating foil balloons with latex balloons, especially ones with holographic shine.
- There's no such thing as too many Halloween balloons, so don't be afraid to brew extra helium bouquets.
- A classic faux pumpkin compliments any Halloween party theme, and a shiny black cake stand works well for displaying it if you didn't make a dessert like caramel apples.
- Alternating accents across place settings makes the whole setting look a little more stylish.
- The purple checkered pattern is perfect for a quirky witch party.
The plan
- Recreate this exact Hocus Pocus set-up or mix and match pieces with the editorially curated Hocus Pocus Party Kit
- Use the same core elements at each place setting, then alternate with a few different accents for a more stylish look
- Double-double-toil-and-trouble-up on party goods so you have extras to rotate through the table
- Add wicked-fun party favors like witch's brew drink stirrers, mini witch hats, or a spooky surprise ball
- Browse the rest of the Hocus Pocus decorations and party goods for additional supplies
Decoration ideas
- Design a bubbling balloon garland in shades of lavender, black, and gray to drape over the party set-up
- Vary the balloon sizes and layer a few whimsical marble balloons throughout for extra dimension
- Mix foil balloons with latex balloons, especially ones with a little holographic shine
- Add witch hat balloons, cauldron balloons, and purple ghost balloons to the balloon mix
- Brew an extra helium bouquet or two, such as a trio of a black spider, purple bat, and Hocus Pocus themed balloon
- Line your dining table or living room coffee table with a black and white striped runner
- Stagger eerie accents like black flame candles or a cauldron floral arrangement along the table center
- Let the purple partyware carry the color and stick to black and white for the rest of the tabletop decor
- Display a classic faux pumpkin atop a shiny black cake stand
- Layer purple checkered plates and napkins with Hocus Pocus plates, witch hat plates, and spellbook plates
- Pair each napkin with a black flame candle napkin
