How to Make a Spooky Halloween Charcuterie Board

This Halloween charcuterie board combines cheeses, meats, fruits, and creepy decorations for a festive spread. Start with a large platter, add props, and build around a focal point like grapes. Include a brie coffin with red jam blood, and finish with candy eyeballs and plastic spiders for a ghoulish touch.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Choose a large cutting board, slate tray, or wooden platter as your base.
  2. Place festive props like small pumpkins, bowls for spreads, or tiny cauldrons around the board.
  3. Create a focal point, such as a big bunch of grapes. Add smaller piles of fruit and tuck in cheese wedges.
  4. Arrange crackers and bread slices in curving lines to lead the eye across the platter.
  5. Add meats: fold prosciutto into ruffles, stack pepperoni, and bunch salami to fill gaps. Keep each type grouped together.
  6. For the brie coffin: cut a 1/4 wedge of brie, slice off a section from each back corner to shape like a coffin. Top with a dollop of red jam (blood) and stick a cheese knife through for effect.
  7. Finish with toothpicks, napkins, candy eyeballs, mini pumpkins, fake vampire teeth, a skeleton hand, ghost cookie cutters, spider webs, or plastic spiders.
  8. If prepping ahead, slice fruits, semi-soft cheeses, and meats a few hours before; wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Save stronger cheeses and spreads for just before serving.
