Directions
- Begin by setting a standard tomato cage on its back so the wide opening faces the ground.
- Position an empty plastic pumpkin bucket upside down, resting its rim over the three metal legs of the inverted cage.
- Secure the bucket in place by wrapping twine around its handle and tying it to the cage frame.
- Drape a full-sized trash bag over the entire structure, allowing the fabric to flow down and form the witch's dress.
- Gather the trash bag material just below the pumpkin bucket and cinch it tightly with twine to define a waistline.
- Attach a second pumpkin pail to the very top of the structure using hot glue to serve as the witch's head.
- For a spooky effect, tuck a set of battery-powered LED lights inside the top bucket so they glow and flicker after dark.
- Place a classic witch hat on the uppermost pumpkin bucket.
- Stuff the hat with crumpled recycled grocery bags to give it structure and keep it standing tall.
- Cut long strips from a spare trash bag, tie a knot in the center of each to form hands, and glue the opposite ends to the sides of the dress.
- Position a cauldron nearby to complete the scene with a spot for magical potions.
