Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at hgtv.com.
This tutorial shows how to create a ghoulish vampire look for kids. Start with a pale base, then use dark contouring to create a sickly undead complexion. Accentuate eyebrows, add dripping blood, and finish with fangs for a dramatic effect.
Directions
- Apply a white or pale foundation all over the face, then set it with translucent powder to eliminate shine.
- For a decaying appearance, use blending brushes and eyeshadows in brown, gray, pink, and red to contour the cheek hollows, under the chin, around the nose, and beneath the eyes. This creates a sickly, sunken complexion while also defining facial features.
- Intensify the eyebrows using a brown or black shadow or eyeliner. For a more evil expression, sharpen the arch.
- Drip stage blood from the corners of the mouth down the chin. If you love drama, extend the blood trail all the way to the neck. Complete the costume with vampire fangs.
