Make Pumpkin Topiaries for an Autumn Porch
Transform your porch into an autumn showcase with easy pumpkin topiaries.
Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at betweennapsontheporch.net.
This project uses hefty urns, squat Heirloom pumpkins, leaf garland, and corn stalks to create elegant fall topiaries. Stack the pumpkins inside the urns, tuck garland between them, and finish with corn shocks for a charming seasonal display.
You'll need
Directions
- Find heavy urns, such as concrete-filled ones you might have used for topiary arrangements before.
- Get large, low-profile Heirloom pumpkins and corn stalks from a local market like Harry's or Rick's Farmers Market.
- Place the flat Heirloom pumpkins inside the urns, stacking them one on top of the other to form a topiary shape.
- Insert leaf garland—or substitute with greenery or straw—between the pumpkins to give a polished appearance.
- Arrange corn shocks around the urn's base or as part of the overall display to add visual interest.
