These Nutter Butter Mummy Cookies are a fun and easy Halloween treat. Simply dip the cookies in melted white chocolate, let them set, then drizzle more chocolate to look like gauze and add candy eyes. Trim any excess chocolate for a neat finish.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Lay a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet or your countertop.
  2. Put the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second bursts, stirring after each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Drop a Nutter Butter cookie into the melted chocolate. Use a fork to turn it over several times until it's completely coated. Lift the cookie with the fork and tap the fork against the bowl's side to shake off extra chocolate. Place the coated cookie on the parchment. Repeat with all cookies and let them sit until the chocolate hardens.
  4. Once the chocolate has set, trim away any excess chocolate that spread around the edges using kitchen shears.
  5. Pour some of the remaining melted chocolate into a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped off. Drizzle the chocolate back and forth a few inches above the cookies to create a mummy-wrap effect. Practice on the parchment first if you like.
  6. While the drizzle is still wet, press two candy eyes onto each cookie. Let the cookies sit until the chocolate is firm again. If needed, use the shears to snip off any extra drips.
