Ingredients
Directions
- Whisk Flour, Baking Soda, Baking Powder and Kosher Salt in a medium sized mixing bowl until combined
- In another medium sized mixing bowl, add the melted butter, granulated sugar, Vanilla Extract, Red Food Color and Milk. Beat until combined using a stand mixer or hand held mixer.
- Combine the wet and dry mixture. Fold using a rubber or wooden spatula just until combined. The cookie dough should be thick and sticky. Wrap the cookie dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or freeze for 10-15 minutes. Right before using it again, pull it out of the freezer and allow to sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. Meanwhile Preheat the oven to 350 F or 180C and line a baking dish with parchment paper or silicone mat.
- Scoop about 1 tbsp of the cookie dough. Roll it into balls. Roll the cookies with confectioners sugar. Place in the baking dish about 3 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-11 minutes. If the cookies do not spread even after 9 minutes, get the baking dish out and lightly bang on the counter for 2-3 times or just use a spatula to lightly press the top. This will help initiate the spreading. Bake for 2-3 more minutes.
- After the cookies gets cooked, allow them to cool down on the wire rack.
- These cookies will stay fresh at room temp. for upto 1 week.
