Create spooky stitched cookies using sugar cookie mix, food coloring, and candy melts. The dough is divided into colored portions, shaped into multicolored balls, baked, and then decorated with chocolate stitches for a fun Halloween treat.

- Mix up the sugar cookie dough following the package directions for drop cookies.
- Split the dough into four separate bowls and stir in a different food coloring into each bowl until evenly tinted.
- Refrigerate the colored dough for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat your oven to 375°F (or the temperature specified on your cookie mix).
- Roll the dough into balls about the size of a golf ball, using two or three different colors per ball.
- Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges are just lightly golden.
- Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 2 minutes after coming out of the oven.
- Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt a small handful of chocolate candy melts in a piping bag following the package instructions.
- Cut a small tip off the piping bag and pipe stitch marks onto the cookies, connecting the different colored sections.
