Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at cupfulofsprinkles.com.
This Halloween makeup look creates a bewitching witch with overdone blush, purple shadow, and a spiderweb design on one eye. The lips feature a black outline blended into purple with a lilac ombre center, while contouring makes the nose appear pointed. Perfect for a spooky yet glamorous costume.
Directions
- Start with a clean face: wash, tone, moisturize, and apply your regular primer.
- Put on your normal foundation across the entire face.
- Take a red liquid blush and apply it heavily high on the cheekbones, so the color is very bright and looks intentionally overdone.
- Dust white setting powder all over your face.
- Dampen an eyeshadow brush and sweep purple shadow onto the eyelids and under the lower lashes. This makes the color more intense.
- Using an angled brush, place black eyeshadow on the outer eye corners, extending above the crease and below the lower lash line; form a curve and blend everything together.
- With liquid eyeliner, make two dots in a diagonal line – one at each outer corner, about 1 centimeter out. These dots guide the flick.
- Line both the top and bottom lash lines with eyeliner, connecting to the dots, and make the outer edges slightly thicker.
- Now for the spiderweb. Pick one eye and use the eyeliner to draw 4 to 5 slightly curved lines radiating outward from the existing liner.
- Connect these curved lines with swooping strokes that link them, creating a web pattern.
- Wet a thin brush and pick up purple shadow; follow the eyeliner point downward toward the inner corner of the eye.
- Fill in your eyebrows with black eyeshadow.
- Apply a heavy coat of mascara to both the upper and lower lashes.
- Using black lipstick, outline the lips with a thick line, leaving the center of the lips bare.
- Fill in the center of the lips with purple lipstick or gloss, overlapping and blending into the black outline.
- With a flat brush, dab lilac lipstick right in the middle of the lips to create an ombre fade.
- Apply a darker powder along the inner bridge of the nose and blend well.
- Sweep highlighter or white eyeshadow from the tip of the nose upward toward the forehead to make the nose look pointed.
