- Mix shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, and sugar in a bowl. Add an egg, milk, and vanilla extract; stir in flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- While the cookies are still warm, decorate them with Milk Duds or Whoppers as spider bodies. Use frosting to attach candy eyes and draw legs.
- Freeze the decorated cookies in a single layer in gallon-size ziploc bags. Thaw for about an hour before serving.
