These Headless Horseman Graveyard Halloween Treats are a spooky twist on classic peanut butter balls. Chilled peanut butter balls are dipped in orange candy coating, decorated with jack-o'-lantern faces, and placed on chocolate cookie-topped pudding cups to resemble graves. The treat is perfect for Halloween parties and offers a fun, hands-on activity for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, use your hands to mix together the peanut butter, softened butter, vanilla extract, and 2 cups of confectioner's sugar until you have a smooth, stiff dough.
  2. If the dough feels too soft, gradually add up to 1 additional cup of confectioner's sugar (3 cups total) to reach the right consistency.
  3. Scoop up about 2 teaspoons of dough for each ball and roll them into round shapes.
  4. Arrange the balls on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment or wax paper.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 30 to 45 minutes, until the balls are thoroughly chilled and firm.
  6. Melt orange candy melts according to package directions, then dip each frozen peanut butter ball into the melted coating until fully covered.
  7. After the coating has hardened, use an edible black marker to draw jack-o'-lantern faces onto each ball.
  8. Carefully peel back the lids on a few Snack Pack pudding cups.
  9. Crush chocolate cookies into fine crumbs and sprinkle them over the pudding to create a look resembling freshly dug dirt.
  10. Place your decorated peanut butter jack-o'-lanterns on top of each pudding cup.
