You'll need
Directions
- After cutting out your cookie shape, turn it upside down.
- Place the stick in your desired location on the flipped dough.
- Use a tiny piece of extra dough to act as adhesive and stick it over the stick.
- Gently rub the added dough with your fingers so it's flat and not bulky.
- Turn the cookie right-side up and bake as usual.
- After baking, you'll see a small bump where the stick was attached; press it down to make it level.
- For the straws, simply push a paper straw onto the cookie stick. If the stick fits snugly, the straw will hold on its own.
- If your stick is thin, put a dab of icing inside the straw's top to serve as glue. Slide the straw onto the stick, and when it's nearly touching the cookie, add another tiny icing dot near the cookie. Use minimal icing to avoid excess squeezing out.
- Cut the straws to the desired length with sharp scissors. For a cookie bouquet, trim them at different heights so every cookie is visible.
