Halloween movies on Paramount+ right now, from Scream to Goosebumps.
Shutter Island, A Quiet Place, Scream and Sleepy Hollow open this Paramount Plus lineup of mostly grown-up horror, with the family picks flagged for younger viewers.
Paramount+ is mostly a grown-up horror shelf, with a few cartoon monsters and kid-sized adventures tucked in among the slashers. These 25 are its most popular Halloween movies, listed by popularity (most-watched first), not by quality, so the order shows what people press play on, not what we’d crown best. We re-checked availability on October 5, 2026, and streaming shelves change, so the where-to-watch link on each card has the final say.
Most of this is for grown-ups: the Scream films here, The Ring, Rosemary’s Baby and Pet Sematary are all terrifying, so keep the kids out of the room. The family picks are easy to spot: both Hotel Transylvania films, both Addams Family films, Monsters vs. Aliens, The Spiderwick Chronicles and Goosebumps, all mildly spooky. Scary Movie 4 is mildly spooky too, but it’s a crude spoof, not a kids’ movie.

01
Shutter Island
Two marshals, an island asylum and a missing patient: Martin Scorsese tightens the paranoia scene by scene until the ending has you rethinking everything before it. One for grown-ups who like a puzzle with their dread.
-
02
A Quiet Place
Make a sound and something hunts you: John Krasinski builds a whole movie on that one rule, with a family that already talks in sign language. Tense and tightly made, but not one for young kids.

04
Sleepy Hollow
Tim Burton’s gothic take on the Headless Horseman sends Johnny Depp’s science-minded Ichabod Crane into a fog-bound village that’s long on gore and candlelight. Pick it for a moody Halloween night, but not with young kids in the room.

06
Hotel Transylvania
Dracula runs a luxury resort where monsters can relax away from humans, until a human backpacker wanders in and falls for his teenage daughter. Adam Sandler voices the overprotective count, and we’d start younger kids here: fast, silly and mildly spooky.
-
07
Rosemary's Baby
The neighbors in a New York apartment building are friendly, attentive and far too interested in a young woman’s pregnancy. Mia Farrow anchors a slow-burn paranoia classic for adults, where the creepiest thing is how polite everyone is.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
The fairy-tale siblings grew up and now hunt witches for a living, in a loud, gory, quip-heavy action-horror that never pretends to be anything deeper. Pure popcorn for anyone who can stomach the blood, and not for kids.
-
11
The Addams Family
Con artists send a fake long-lost uncle to fleece Morticia, Gomez and their gleefully morbid household. Dry, quick and mildly spooky, it’s an easy sell for kids and for adults who like their comedy deadpan.

13
Monsters vs. Aliens
Hit by a meteorite on her wedding day, a bride swells to giant size and joins a government team of misfit monsters against an alien invader. Bright, fast and light on scares, it’s a goofy nod to old B-movie monsters that kids will enjoy.
-
14
A Quiet Place: Day One
Lupita Nyong’o plays Sam, stranded in New York as the creatures arrive, in a prequel that trades the first film’s family drama for something more intimate. Still properly scary, so keep it for older viewers.
-
15
Friday the 13th
Counselors reopening Camp Crystal Lake find out, one by one, why it closed. This is the stripped-down, nasty, lake-and-woods original that launched a very long franchise, best for slasher fans and strictly for grown-ups.
-
16
The Autopsy of Jane Doe
One night, one morgue and a body that gets stranger the deeper a father and son cut into it. Claustrophobic and tightly wound, with each grim discovery raising the stakes; not for kids, and not for the squeamish.
-
17
Hotel Transylvania 2
With Mavis tempted to move out of the hotel, Dracula and his old monster pals try to coax the vampire out of his half-human grandson. Another fast, silly comedy with gentle scares that works for the whole family.

19
Scary Movie 4
Scary in name only: Cindy’s haunted house is a launch pad for gags that spoof the horror and sci-fi hits of its day. A crude comedy with a mild scare level, it’s for adults and definitely not a kids’ movie.
-
20
The Brothers Grimm
Two traveling con artists who fake exorcisms for pay run into a real fairy-tale curse that demands actual courage. A storybook-dark fantasy adventure with enough eerie touches to keep it out of the family-night pile.
-
21
Pet Sematary
A grieving father finds a burial ground behind his home that can raise the dead, and the film never lets you forget the price. Based on one of Stephen King’s grimmest novels, it’s sad, cruel and absolutely not for kids.
-
22
Addams Family Values
The family mounts a rescue when Fester falls for a gold-digging black widow, while Wednesday and Pugsley get packed off to summer camp. The camp subplot is a highlight, and it’s only mildly spooky, so a safe bet for family night.
-
23
The Spiderwick Chronicles
Twin brothers and their sister move into a crumbling estate and find a hidden guidebook to the faerie world around them. Mildly spooky, with a few startling creature scenes, it’s a solid adventure for kids who want real stakes.
-
24
Goosebumps
Jack Black plays the Goosebumps author, whose monsters escape their manuscripts and rampage through a small Delaware town with Slappy the dummy as ringleader. Jokey, quick and mildly spooky, it’s a good first scary movie for kids.
-
25
House at the End of the Street
A teenager befriends a boy in a small town where the house at the end of the street has a double murder in its past. Jennifer Lawrence leads a modest, twisty thriller for teens and adults who prefer suspense to gore.
Run the night in order: cartoon monsters while the kids are up, Ghostface once they’re asleep.
Stack a Paramount+ night by mood. Scream and Scream 2 make a natural slasher pair, A Quiet Place and its prequel make a tight creature double, and after a heavy dose of Rosemary’s Baby or Pet Sematary, a Hotel Transylvania chaser helps you sleep. For family night, start with The Addams Family and save Goosebumps for kids who want a few real jumps. Glance at each card’s watch links before you commit to a marathon. When this list runs out, the full Fieldguide watchlist has plenty more.
