You'll need
Directions
- Print the zombie face template on white paper and the head and eye template on colored paper. For a custom touch, print the head on white, cut it out, and trace it onto your colored paper.
- Use a marker to color a section of the paper plate; it doesn't need to be neat. Choose a marker color that matches your yarn for a cohesive look or a contrasting one for extra flair.
- Apply a generous layer of school glue over the colored area. Then, arrange the brain-colored yarn in a twisting pattern on the glue until the whole section is covered.
- Cut out the springy eyeball and head templates from colored paper. Following the template, cut about three-quarters of the plate and tear the other side. Glue the torn head piece onto the plate so the ripped edge reveals the yarn brain. Use a glue stick for the paper and a bit more school glue where the paper overlaps the yarn.
- Fold the springy eyeball piece accordion-style, alternating back and forth. Cut out the face pieces from the template. Attach the accordion-folded piece to one eyeball using tape or glue.
- Assemble all face pieces onto the plate with a glue stick. Add extra details like scars or other spooky features with your marker to make your zombie unique.
