This eerie vegan cocktail combines kiwi puree with sour apple schnapps and vodka for a sweet-tart Halloween treat. The black sugar rim adds a gothic touch, while apple slices make for a chilling garnish. Perfect for adult parties or a frightfully fun evening.
Ingredients
Directions
- In a small, wide bowl, combine the sugar and black food coloring. Stir until the coloring is evenly distributed, adding more sugar or coloring if needed to achieve a black hue.
- Rub a lime slice around the rims of two martini glasses, then dip the rims into the black sugar to coat them. Set the glasses aside.
- Peel the large kiwis, then slice or chop them into smaller pieces.
- Place the kiwi pieces in a blender and puree until smooth. Be careful not to over-blend, as you want to keep the seeds intact. Alternatively, you can mash them by hand.
- Pour the kiwi puree into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Add the simple syrup, lime juice, sour apple schnapps, and vodka to the shaker. Shake well until everything is combined.
- Immediately pour the mixture into the prepared martini glasses.
- Garnish each glass with a slice of Granny Smith apple and serve right away.
