- Start by cutting a square shape from the orange construction paper.
- Draw diagonal lines from each corner toward the center, then carefully cut along these lines, stopping just short of the middle to preserve a small circular area.
- Fold the left edge of every resulting triangle toward the center point, allowing the edges to overlap slightly.
- Insert a pushpin through the center of the folded paper and into the eraser end of the pencil, ensuring the pin is loose enough to allow the blades to rotate freely.
- Attach a small piece of green paper to the top of the pencil to resemble a pumpkin stem.
