This recipe creates a glowing pudding using tapioca pearls and a few simple ingredients. The natural glow comes from the vanilla sugar and lemon zest when exposed to black light. Serve with chocolate spider decorations for a fun Halloween treat.
Ingredients
Directions
- Put the tapioca pearls in a bowl with 1 cup of cold water and let them sit for half an hour to soften, then drain off the water.
- Bring the remaining 1 cup of water to a rolling boil in a saucepan, then stir in the honey until it dissolves.
- Once the honey is fully melted, add the vanilla sugar and stir until it's completely dissolved.
- Add the soaked tapioca pearls to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring from time to time.
- After about 20 minutes, pour in the milk and add the lemon peel zest, then keep cooking on low for another 10 minutes.
- Pour the pudding into a mold or bowl and allow it to cool completely.
- When ready to serve, top with chocolate drizzle or create chocolate spider decorations for a spooky touch.
- Set up a pitch-black room and turn on black lights to see your pudding glow as you eat it.
