These Cake Mix Pumpkin Bars are a simple dessert made by combining canned pumpkin with spice cake mix, baking until tender, and topping with a homemade cream cheese frosting. They're chilled before serving and can be cut into 12 or 24 squares.

- Heat the oven to 350°F.
- Stir the pumpkin puree and spice cake mix together until fully blended.
- Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray, then spread the batter evenly in the pan.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool completely. While they cool, prepare the frosting.
- Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the vanilla, then gradually beat in the powdered sugar until the frosting is creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled bars.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Cut into 12 or 24 squares.
