These pumpkin bars are made with just pumpkin puree and spice cake mix, baked until tender. A simple cream cheese frosting tops them off, making a delicious treat that can be cut into 12 or 24 squares.

- Set your oven to 350°F to preheat.
- In a bowl, combine the canned pumpkin and spice cake mix, stirring until fully blended.
- Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray, then spread the pumpkin mixture evenly in the dish.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool completely. While they cool, prepare the frosting.
- Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add the vanilla extract, then gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until the frosting is smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled pumpkin bars.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Cut into 12 or 24 squares.
