Our own summary of the original by Amy (Savory Moments) — the full post and photos live at savorymomentsblog.com.
These easy witch hats start with refrigerated crescent rolls brushed with a buttery cinnamon-sugar mixture. After shaping the dough into hat forms, bake until golden and serve as a fun, festive treat.
Ingredients
Directions
- Heat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Open the can of crescent rolls, unroll them, and separate into 8 triangles. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon until well blended.
- Using a pastry brush, coat each crescent roll with the butter mixture.
- To form the hat brim, roll up the wide end (flat side) of each triangle a couple of turns. Brush the brim with more butter mixture, then use your fingers to shape the crescent into a witch hat.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until puffed and lightly golden at the edges.
- Allow the hats to cool on the baking sheet for about a minute, then serve.
