Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at sarahscoop.com.
This DIY ghost lantern is easy to make with just a balloon, flour, water, and an LED tea light. You'll create a paste, layer it on an inflated balloon to form a ghost shape, then let it dry for 24 hours. After popping the balloon, you can place the light inside for a haunting glow.

Directions
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of flour with 1 cup of water and stir until you have a smooth paste.
- Inflate a large white balloon to your desired size, then dip a paintbrush into the flour paste.
- Apply the paste onto the balloon in overlapping layers, building up a shape that resembles a ghost.
- Allow the coated balloon to sit undisturbed for 24 hours so it becomes completely hard.
- Once dry, pop the balloon with scissors and gently pull out the deflated pieces from the inside.
- Put a small LED tea light into the hollow ghost shell to illuminate it.
