Create eerie apothecary bottles for Halloween by painting glass bottles in your chosen color, then printing and aging labels with coffee grinds. Attach the labels with Mod Podge or spray adhesive for a finished, vintage look that's perfect for your decor.
You'll need
Directions
- Apply a coat of glass paint (we used purple) to your bottles using a paintbrush, or use spray paint if you prefer, to coordinate with your party or decor colors.
- While the paint is drying, print the free printable bottle labels onto paper and trim them out along the edges.
- To give the labels an aged look, smear coffee grinds over the paper, then rub them off once the paper has reached the desired color and texture.
- Let the paper become completely dry.
- When both the labels and bottles are dry, affix the labels using either Mod Podge or spray adhesive.
- Smooth the labels onto the bottles and let them set firmly before arranging them in your display.
