Tips
- Downloads are organised under logical headings so it is easy to see what files you need for each step.
- Print booklets double-sided (duplex) to save paper and make them compact and more attractive; single-sided for easy viewing; or use the large font version for readability or electronic viewing.
- All essential party materials (pre-party booklets, party booklets and clues) are designed to be attractive yet light on ink; most themes have an ink-heavy email invitation plus an ink-light home-printing version.
- Double-sided, single-sided and large font printing options are currently available for all At-Home games; virtual murder mystery hosts usually email booklets instead, with these options to be rolled out later.
- Some hosts email guests a digital copy of the pre-party materials (invitation and pre-party booklet) and only print the party booklets and clues.
- The 'Large Font or Electronic Viewing' version of the pre-party and party character booklets can be viewed on a phone or tablet for a paperless experience.
- Customers say it can be easier to keep a printed copy of the clues to avoid flicking between tabs.
- You can print new booklets for different sets of friends up to three times per purchase.
- Some external printers ask for the publisher's authorisation first; Maple Mystery Games provides an authorisation email for personal-use games.
- The murderer is not drawn out of a hat on the night because clues are carefully scattered through the plotline.
- Optional documents are clearly labelled so you can choose what to print and what to omit.

- There are two essential audio files under Party Files: Part 2 - Audios: an Audio Introduction and an Audio Solution.
- There are 2-3 optional zips: Party Area & Entrance printouts, additional A3/Tabloid large decorations for some themes, and Food & Drink printables.
- All files are zipped PDFs except the two audio MP3 files and the files customers need to edit.
- Party invitations, menus and food labels are provided as editable Word documents.
- All party materials are designed for A4 paper but have been widely used by US and Canadian customers on Letter paper with scale-to-fit settings; margins are slightly larger but files print correctly.
- Party materials look better in colour but have been designed to work well in black and white.
- Each guest needs an invitation, a pre-party booklet and a party booklet, printed or electronic.
- Printing requirements per player: single-sided = 11 sheets; double-sided = 6 sheets; large font = 21 sheets.
- In addition, hosts print 6-9 pages of clues to be read aloud plus their host instructions.
- All At-Home games have been converted so booklets can be printed single-sided, double-sided, large font, or viewed electronically.
- Pre-party booklets can be printed all at once from one file, or emailed to guests individually using the individual file option.
- For party booklets, most hosts print them for guests; a single file for essential characters is offered, with a choice of single or individual files for optional characters.
- Each kit comes with two extensive sets of optional themed printables for party area/entrance and for the dinner table.
- Party area/entrance printables include themed posters, room signs and signs to places in the game.
- Dinner table printables include place setting cards, wine bottle labels and editable menus; some themes also have place mats and editable food labels.
- Printouts are designed to be attractive without large swatches of bold, saturated colour that guzzle ink; backgrounds are lightened or given a white background with a small border.
- All printouts print onto Letter (A4) paper; some themes have additional Tabloid (A3) versions.
- Each game gives lots of extra printables such as themed invitations, pre-party booklets with costume ideas and character bios, name tags, award certificates and duplicate maps.
- All games use the company's carefully-designed and flexible script format with quirky characters, twisty plots and well-developed solutions.
- Maple Mystery Games does NOT provide sample games, but sample documents (booklets, clues) are available on each game's product page.
- Payment is accepted via PayPal or Stripe (credit/debit card options) over HTTPS and SSL.
- Games are trusted by hosts in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, the EU and beyond.
