Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at pinkstripeysocks.com.
This easy project uses construction paper, a glue stick, scissors, a stapler, and markers to create festive paper chains. You'll fold and cut uniform strips, then decorate some with pumpkin stems and witch hats, draw faces, and staple them together alternating with plain rings.
You'll need
Directions
- Prepare your paper strips and shapes: fold each sheet of construction paper into 8 equal sections and cut along the folds to get uniform strips. For the pumpkin chain, also cut out small stems from green paper. For the witch chain, cut out triangle hats from black paper.
- Decorate the strips: use a glue stick to attach stems to what will become the pumpkin strips, and hats to the witch strips. Grab a dark marker (like a Sharpie) to draw jack-o'-lantern faces on the pumpkin strips and witch faces on the witch strips.
- Assemble the chain: staple the loops together, alternating a decorated pumpkin or witch strip with a plain ring (an undecorated strip) to create the pattern.
