Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at helloyummy.co.
These ghost strawberries are a fun and easy Halloween snack. Simply dip fresh strawberries in white chocolate, let the excess drip to form a ghostly tail, then pipe on a spooky face with black chocolate. Best enjoyed the same day, they make a cute edible decoration for any Halloween party.
Ingredients
Directions
- Wash the strawberries and pat them completely dry. Line a baking sheet or plate with parchment paper.
- Melt the bright white candy melts according to the package directions. (You can also use melted white chocolate.)
- Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the white coating. Lift it out and let the excess drip onto the parchment paper, forming a ghostly tail. Set the strawberry gently on the parchment to harden.
- Let the white coating set for 5 to 10 minutes while you melt the black candy melts (or dark chocolate) following the package instructions.
- When the white coating is firm, pipe ghost faces onto each strawberry using a piping bag fitted with a #3 tip (or a small plastic bag with a tiny corner snipped off). Add eyes and a mouth.
- Allow the black chocolate to dry for at least 5 minutes. These treats are best served and eaten on the same day.
