4 Bowls of Halloween Themed Oatmeal.
PHOTO · HEALTHYLITTLEFOODIES.COM

This collection features four creative oatmeal designs: a banana monster with chocolate chip eyes and raisin smile, a green smoothie-topped monster with candy eyes, a pumpkin-themed bowl using a clementine and celery stalk, and a dripping blood effect using chia jam over banana slices.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Scoop the prepared porridge into a small, round bowl.
  2. Cut the half banana in half lengthwise, then lay both pieces flat-side down on the porridge.
  3. Press two chocolate chips onto the upper end of each banana piece to serve as eyes, and arrange the raisins to form a smiling mouth. Finally, scatter the blueberries around the base.
  4. Fill a separate small bowl three-quarters full with porridge, then pour the green smoothie over the top.
  5. Attach the candy eyes to the smoothie-topped porridge to complete the monster look.
  6. Spoon the cooked porridge into a small round bowl and mix in the pumpkin or mango puree until swirled.
  7. Place the half clementine on top to look like a pumpkin. Use six chocolate chips to make eyes and a mouth on the fruit, then add the tiny celery piece as the stem.
  8. Move the cooked porridge into a serving bowl and arrange the three banana slices on top.
  9. Spoon the chia jam over the banana and porridge to create a dripping blood effect. Feel free to get creative with the design.
  10. Place a blueberry on each banana slice to act as the pupils for the eyes.
