This recipe guides you through baking a standard brownie mix, crumbling it, rolling it into balls, and coating each piece in melted chocolate with festive sprinkles for a fun Halloween dessert.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Follow the package instructions to bake the brownie mix in either a 9x9-inch or 11x7-inch pan. Once done, let the brownies cool completely while still inside the pan.
  2. Crumble the cooled brownies into small pieces using a fork. Feel free to toss out any tough edges. Prepare a baking tray by covering it with parchment paper.
  3. Form the brownie crumbs into 1-inch spheres using a tablespoon scoop or your hands. Place the shaped balls onto the prepared tray and put them in the freezer for half an hour to firm up.
  4. Place the semisweet chocolate (or your chosen chocolate blend) into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat it on high for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue heating in 30-second bursts, stirring each time, followed by 10 to 15-second intervals until the chocolate is fully melted and glossy.
  5. Submerge each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using two forks to let the extra coating drip off. Move the coated truffle back to the parchment-lined tray and immediately add your Halloween sprinkles on top. Keep repeating this process until all the truffles are done.
  6. Keep the finished treats in a sealed container in the fridge, placing parchment sheets between layers to prevent sticking. They will stay fresh for up to 7 days.
