Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at butterwithasideofbread.com.
These Halloween cookies are made with a simple sugar cookie dough rolled in orange and black sprinkles. They bake at 350°F for just 10 minutes and stay fresh for a few days in an airtight container.
Ingredients
Directions
- Set your oven to 350°F and let it preheat.
- Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat the butter and sugar together for about two minutes until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Remember to scrape the bowl's sides.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix until fully incorporated. The dough will be sticky.
- Pour the orange and black sprinkles into a bowl. Take the dough from the mixing bowl and drop it into the sprinkles, rolling it around until fully coated. Form the dough into a ball and place it on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Because the cookies spread a lot during baking, place only about eight cookies on each sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F. Let the cookies cool completely on the pan. They will stay fresh in an airtight container for 2 to 3 days.
