Whip up a batch of chocolate pudding, fold in whipped cream, and chill. Top with crushed Oreo 'dirt' and creepy candies like worms and eyeballs for a festive dessert that's perfect for Halloween parties.
Ingredients
Directions
- If using heavy cream, beat it with a hand or stand mixer on medium-high until medium-stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside. (Skip if using Cool Whip.)
- In the same bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until combined. Let sit for about 5 minutes until thickened.
- Gently fold the whipped cream (or Cool Whip) into the pudding. Spoon or pipe the mixture into serving cups, leaving room at the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin. Prepare any candy decorations.
- Just before serving, sprinkle a generous layer of cookie crumbs over each pudding cup. Decorate with candy worms, eyeballs, tombstone-shaped candy bars, etc. To attach candy eyes or chips to peanut butter cups, use a dab of frosting or brush with corn syrup.
