This guide walks you through building a large-scale spiderweb decoration using only washi tape and a smooth surface. By anchoring a central point and radiating outward with evenly spaced lines, then weaving connecting strips in a crisscross pattern, you can scale the design to any size. The result is a clean, removable Halloween accent that adds instant eerie charm to your decor.

You'll need

Directions

  1. Wipe down the wall or window where you plan to display your creation to ensure it is free of dust and grime.
  2. Press a tiny segment of your chosen tape onto the exact middle spot where the web will originate.
  3. Draw out a lengthy piece of tape and secure one end to that central anchor point, stretching it outward in a direct line.
  4. Repeat this process to form additional spokes, making sure each new line is distributed uniformly around the core.
  5. Measure and snip smaller lengths of tape to bridge the gaps between the spokes, weaving them in a crisscross fashion as you progress toward the perimeter.
  6. Keep layering these connecting pieces until the design expands to your preferred dimensions.
  7. Snip away any overhanging tape and press firmly along the borders to secure everything in place.
