You'll need
Directions
- If you're using recycled jars, fill your sink with hot, soapy water and let the jars sit for about 15 minutes to loosen the labels. Scrub them off with a brush—they should slide right off.
- At least two days before you plan to assemble the jars, spray paint the lids. Use black or brown paint and let them dry thoroughly.
- Spray the inside and outside of the glass jars with frosted glass spray paint. Allow them to dry for 1 to 2 days. The paint will look light at first but will become more opaque as it dries.
- Once the jars are dry, place one remote control tea light inside the bottom of each jar.
- Cut lengths of white spider web about 4 to 5 inches long. Fluff them up a bit, then attach a rubber spider to two opposite sides. Slide the web into the jar, positioning it above the tea light.
- Screw the painted lid onto the jar, then turn on the tea light to see your flickering spider jar glow!
