Twenty years after surviving her brother Michael Myers' original killing spree, Laurie Strode now lives under an assumed identity as a headmistress of a private school, struggling with trauma and alcoholism. When Michael tracks her down to her new life in California, Laurie must confront her past and protect her teenage son from the relentless masked killer. The film acknowledges and retcons the previous sequels, offering a direct follow-up to the first two movies.
