These Halloween Krispy Treats start with a buttery marshmallow and cereal base, pressed into a pan and chilled. Once set, they're cut into squares and dipped in orange-tinted white chocolate, then topped with Halloween sprinkles for a festive finish.
Ingredients
Directions
- Grease the base of a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
- Fully melt four tablespoons of butter, then transfer it to a big microwave-safe bowl. Empty the marshmallows into the bowl and stir them to coat with butter.
- Microwave the coated marshmallows for 30 seconds, give it a stir, then microwave another 30 seconds and stir once more. Pour in the cereal and mix thoroughly until everything is combined.
- Transfer the mixture into the buttered dish. Moisten your hand with water and press the mixture flat and even. Scatter sprinkles however you like. Cover the dish and refrigerate for one hour to set.
- Slice into square pieces and lay them out on wax paper.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate is completely smooth. Stir in orange food coloring until you achieve the shade you want.
- Dip the lower third to half of each square into the orange chocolate, then set them upside down on wax paper to harden.
