This skeleton makeup tutorial uses white and black cream makeup to create a bony, skull-like face. Steps include flattening eyebrows with glue, applying a white base, darkening eye hollows and nose sides, and contouring cheekbones and forehead to mimic bone shadows. The technique relies on careful blending to achieve realistic skeletal contours.

Directions

  1. Start with a clean face that is well moisturized. To flatten the eyebrows, apply a glue stick over them, smoothing in the direction of hair growth. Do a patch test the day before to check for any allergic reaction to the glue. Set the glue by dabbing on translucent powder with a puff, then brush off the excess.
  2. Using a makeup sponge, apply white cream makeup all over the face, extending down the neck and over the lips. Avoid touching the face afterward, as fingerprints are hard to blend out.
  3. With a flat makeup brush, fill in the eye sockets with black cream makeup.
  4. Use a flat craft brush to blend black makeup along the sides of the nose, emphasizing the bridge.
  5. For skull-like contours, use a flat craft brush to outline the lower cheekbone with black cream makeup. Extend the line from near the hairline up to the forehead, stopping about an inch above the eyebrows. Begin at the cheek, then blend the line downward in small strokes to create a shadow effect; soften any harsh edges with a makeup sponge. Blend the top line downward as well. Draw a triangle just above the nose tip and blend downward, keeping the very tip of the nose white.
