These Halloween monster eyes cookies are a creepy-cute treat featuring black cocoa dough and candy eyeballs. With a short chill and bake time, they come together quickly for a festive party snack.
Ingredients
Directions
- In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, yogurt, milk, vanilla extract, and black gel food coloring until smooth and evenly combined.
- Sift the all-purpose flour, dark cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder into the wet mixture. Fold everything together with a rubber spatula until a dough forms. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- Remove the chilled dough. Roll into small balls and arrange on a lined baking sheet (a 9x11 inch tray works). Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 11 minutes. Immediately after baking, use a spatula to flatten each cookie. Let them cool completely before pressing candy eyeballs into the surface.
