This Halloween party punch features frozen ice hands made from food-safe gloves floating in a crimson cranberry base. Lychee eyeballs with blueberry pupils and red food coloring veins add a gory touch. Optional vodka makes it an adult-friendly treat.
Ingredients
Directions
- Pour water into each food-safe glove, stopping about 2 inches (5 cm) from the top. Twist the open end and secure it with a knot.
- Arrange the gloves on a tray, overlapping some to create bent finger shapes if desired. Freeze for a minimum of 4 hours, or overnight until solid.
- Insert one blueberry into each lychee to create the 'pupil' of the eyeball.
- Using a toothpick, apply small streaks of red food coloring onto the lychees to resemble blood vessels. Drop the prepared lychees into a large punch bowl.
- Combine cranberry juice, ginger ale, the reserved lychee juice, and vodka (if desired) in the punch bowl.
- Take the frozen gloves out of the freezer and hold them under warm running water for about 15 seconds. Snip off the knot with scissors, then slip the ice hand out and drop it into the punch.
- When serving, use a ladle to pour the punch into glasses, making sure to include a couple of lychee eyeballs in each.
- Relish your spooky Halloween punch!
