These Halloween pudding bowls are a fun treat: blow up balloons and dip them in white candy melts to create edible bowls. Fill with chocolate pudding, sprinkle Oreo crumbs on top, and add a Milano cookie grave marker for a spooky touch.
Ingredients
Directions
- Blow up the balloons so that the bottom part is the right size to shape a small bowl when covered with candy. Secure each balloon with a knot, then lightly coat them with cooking spray.
- Put the white candy melts in a microwave-safe dish and heat them on the defrost setting in one-minute increments until fully liquefied.
- Submerge each balloon into the melted candy so that the lower third to half is covered.
- Set the dipped balloons on a tray lined with parchment paper and let them rest for about one to two minutes.
- Keep dipping the balloons back into the candy four to five more times to build up a sturdy shell.
- Transfer the coated balloons to the refrigerator and let them harden for at least 30 minutes.
- Pop the balloons with a pin and carefully remove the balloon remnants from the candy bowls.
- In a bowl, combine the instant pudding mix with the milk and whisk until smooth. Allow the pudding to sit until it becomes thick.
- Spoon the pudding into the candy bowls, leaving a small gap at the top.
- Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor.
- Evenly spread the cookie crumbs over the pudding in each bowl.
- On each Milano cookie, use a black edible marker to write "RIP" on the front.
- Insert one cookie upright into the center of each pudding-filled bowl.
