Our own summary of the original — the full post and photos live at princesspinkygirl.com.
These Halloween spider cookies turn simple sugar cookies into creepy-cute treats using Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Minis and candy eyes. Melted chocolate acts as glue for the spiders and pipes on eight little legs. They're quick to assemble and perfect for Halloween parties or baking with kids.
Ingredients
Directions
- Prepare and bake the sugar cookies according to your recipe or package instructions.
- Immediately after removing the cookies from the oven, use the back of a teaspoon measuring spoon to gently press an indent into the center of each cookie.
- Allow the cookies to cool fully on a wire rack.
- Melt the chocolate candy melts according to package directions, then transfer the melted chocolate to a pastry bag or a zip-top bag with a small corner snipped off.
- Using a little melted chocolate, coat the bottom of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Mini and press it into the indentation on the cookie.
- Allow the chocolate to set and the Reese's to adhere firmly.
- For each spider, place a small dot of melted chocolate on the back of two candy eyes and attach them to the side of the Reese's cup to form the face.
- With the remaining melted chocolate, pipe eight small legs extending outward from the Reese's cup on the cookie.
- Wait until all the chocolate has fully hardened, then serve and enjoy these spooky spider cookies!
